Vocational School Horb a.N. – Germany

The Gewerbliche- und Hauswirtschaftliche Schule in Horb am Neckar offers a wide range of educational opportunities with around 800 students and 70 teachers. 

Our school offers degrees in home economics, health, metal, design and technology. 

At the vocational high school, it is possible to obtain the Abitur, with a focus on design and media technology, after three years. This gives access to all courses of study at (dual) colleges and universities and provides particularly good prerequisites for courses of study of this kind. Topics of the design and media technology profile subject include technical drawing and project management. Overall, the work is very activity and project-oriented. 

In the field of technology, there is the possibility to choose between two different specializations: Machine technology and automation technology/mechatronics. A wide range of skills are acquired here. In the area of health, there are opportunities to become medical and dental assistants, as well as pharmaceutical technical assistants. 


Vilnius College of Technologies and Design – Lithuania

Vilnius College of Technologies and Design (VTDK) in its current structure was established in 2008 through the integration of Vilnius Technical College into Vilnius College of Construction and Design. The origin of the Technical Faculty dates back to as far as 1930s (the Technical School), while the Civil Engineering Faculty evolved from the Vilnius Technical School of Construction, established in 1954, and so did the Design Faculty. 

Vilnius College of Technologies and Design is a state university of applied sciences, hosting around 2.000 students and 200 professors and other staff members. The College consists of 3 faculties: the Design Faculty, the Technical Faculty, and the Civil Engineering Faculty. The College offers 15 full-time study programs, partial studies through exchange programs, as well as informal study courses and training.

Rzeszow University of Technology (PRz) – Poland

Rzeszow University of Technology (PRz) provides technical education since 1951. The University is situated in Rzeszów – the modern capital of Subcarpathian Voivodeship of Poland with a lot of aerospace industry companies operate. On the 1st of October 1974 The Higher Engineering School was granted university status as the Rzeszow University of Technology. The school became the academic center of significant importance for the south-east region of Poland. With a highly qualified personnel and advanced research base, PRz offers services in almost all fields of engineering. Currently Rzeszow University of Technology provides education at 7 faculties: Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering and Architecture, Chemical Engineering, Mechanics and Technology, Mathematics and Applied Physics, Management. 

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics, as the only one in Poland, has been training civil aviation pilots since 1976. Pilots receive an MSc in Aeronautical Engineering and a 2nd Class (CPL) pilot’s licence. Their training meets European requirements for receiving an airline pilot licence (ATPL), and is conducted at Jasionka (aviation) and Bezmiechowa (gliders). The University participates in the Erasmus programme and maintains bilateral exchanges both university-wide and for particular faculties. Forecasting the demands of the nation’s economy, the University provides a rich curriculum adapted to the realities and demands of the marketplace. 


IES MOLÍ DEL SOL – Spain

The IES Molí del Sol, is a Secondary Education Institute, located in the town of Mislata, next to Valencia in Spain. It belongs to the network of public centers of the Department of Education, Culture and Sport of the Valencian Community.In our center there are about 1,300 students at different educational levels and about 120 teachers. It is a large center in terms of size and facilities.We have ESO (Compulsory Secondary Education), which are male and female students between the ages of 12 and 16.Another group of students studies Baccalaureate, which is studied by male and female students between the ages of 16 and 18 approximately.In addition, we have 2 families of Professional Training:

  • Professional Family of Mechanical Manufacturing
  • Professional Family of Physical and Sports Activities

Within the Professional Family of Mechanical Manufacturingour students can study:

  • Basic Vocational Training – students learn how to handle tools in a machining workshop
  • Medium Grade Training Cycle of Jewelery Technician – students learn to design jewelery and to manufacture it
  • Intermediate Training Cycle of Machining Technician: students learn to handle machines such as lathes, milling machines, drills to be able to manufacture any mechanical part
  • Higher Technician Training Cycle in Production Programming in Mechanical Manufacturing:upon completion of these studies, students can continue at the University or can manufacture mechanical parts using CNC numerical control or advanced CAM systems.

The cycles of this Professional Family have a high labor insertion. Students carry out training practices in industrial companies in the area and stay to work in them. In addition, they are highly valued professionals, since there is a lot of demand.

Within the Professional Family of Physical and Sports Activities, we have the following studies:

  • Training Cycle of Higher Technician in Teaching and Socio-sports Animation

Technical School Osijek – Croatia

Back in 1886, by the decision of the joint Croatian-Hungarian Parliament, the Royal Land Government, the Department of Worship and Education, and the decree of the head of the Department of Worship and Education Izidor Kršnjavo, an apprenticeship school was founded in Osijek. 

That’s almost 3 centuries of existence! 

Following the tradition of educating craftsmen and skilled workers in mechanical engineering, the Osijek Technical School of Engineering celebrates November 14 as its School Day and in 2021/2022. the celebration of the 135th birthday will follow!
